I think it’s funny when something significant happens to someone or somebody they know, and they are inclined to write a 5 page essay about it on their Tumblr. It’s obvious they stretch the truth and make the story as lengthy and “deep” as possible.

Is it really necessary for people to share that much information about themselves? Of course it is their Tumblr, and they can post whatever they want, but it pretty much seems like they’re just spilling their whole life story out for the attention. I’m certain that if something life-impacting happened to me, I wouldn’t share it with anyone, especially on Tumblr. It’s personal information I don’t think should be shared.

And also people that write long, ~inspirational~ posts about other people, usually without their knowledge, obviously for the sake of attention. If I knew something that happened to someone, I wouldn’t put them on blast over Tumblr without them knowing. It’s wrong and an invasion of their space. This is the internet after all, and I have enough self-respect to know not to expose personal information to that degree about myself or others.
