The success of a relationship is based on the simple fact that both sides need to be on the same page with each other at all times. For instance, the same view of how a relationship works, whether it’s casual, an intimate one, or a dependent one. People with different views on how a relationship should work barely to never work out in the end.

Also, the same level of commitment. True commitment in every relationship comes from the willingness to work through any and everything, so by the end of the day, the couple is content with each other. I personally believe that the right people will go out of their way to make sure their significant other is happy. If any problems come up, they’ll be willing to talk it out and fix it. They will overcome any emotion and pride for the well-being of the other. If the vibe of the relationship even slightly changes for the worse, they will make sure to do everything in their power to get everything back on track.

Again, the feeling needs to be equal. Nobody deserves to have to give their 100%, only to receive less. And that’s when it starts to go downhill, when the 100% from someone isn’t evident anymore.
